Robert A. Sewall Jr. is the president and CEO of Sewall Financial Group. He manages the firm and conducts client meetings. Robert holds licenses for Series 7 and Series 66. He also holds insurance licenses in New York, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, California, and New Jersey. He is a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor® and a Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor®.
Prior to joining the financial industry in 2013, Robert played in the NFL for the Tennessee Titans and the Tampa Buccaneers. He is president of the NFL Former Players’ Chapter of New York/New Jersey. Robert grew up in Portsmouth, Rhode Island and is the oldest of four children. He graduated from Brown University with a double major in economics and American history. Robert was a 4-year varsity participant in football, where he was named an All-American and 3-time All-Ivy League performer at the wide receiver position.
After graduating, Robert signed with the Tennessee Titans, and spent three years in the NFL, most recently with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Robert was inspired to pursue a career as a financial professional after overhearing locker-room conversations from players unsure how to manage their money. Players frequently consulted him for financial advice during his time as a player. Robert enjoys working with people and helping them achieve their goals. He views his client relationships as partnerships. Robert’s clients are confident the advisors at Sewall Financial Group work hard to build and protect their assets. Robert focuses on holistic wealth management, which goes beyond investing. He deals with private banking and developing deferred compensation strategies. He also fashions trust and estate plans. Robert firmly believes that financial goals cannot be achieved without a strategy, in the same manner as winning sports teams must develop game plans.
Robert enjoys working out, studying history (specifically the Revolutionary War period), and going to the beach.
Ken Femiano
Insurance Specialist
Ken is a founding partner of New York Financial Partners, Inc. and New York Partners Employees Benefit Group. Ken regards his relationship building skills as essential to maintaining long-term associations with his clients. These skills have helped enable him to provide sound investment advice and deliver objective financial strategies over long-term investment cycles. This knowledge was gained through years of experience working with elite Wall Street firms.
With a background in the financial industry of over a quarter century, Ken also has broad knowledge of the insurance industry acquired while working at Guardian Insurance.
His previous experience includes positions of rank at large firms such as Shearson-Lehman and Prudential-Bache, as well as regional firms Ryan Beck (formerly Gruntal & Co.) and Robb, Peck & McCooey. Throughout much of his tenures, Ken primarily worked within the highly regarded Private Client Groups as Vice President and with small and mid-sized corporate customers.
Ken received a BS from St. John's University. Among philanthropic and volunteer initiatives, Ken was involved with local Special Olympics chapters and gives financial support to disabled and underprivileged children. He dedicates much of his spare time coaching football. Ken is the founder (2005) of a youth football organization in Northport, New York, which in its second year had over 12 teams and over 400 participants.
Ken resides in Northport with his wife and three children.
Matthew Sewall
Director of Marketing
Matthew Sewall is the director of marketing and joined Sewall Financial Group, LLC in 2019. He is responsible for public relations initiatives, digital marketing campaigns, content creation and management, client communications and website management.
Born and raised in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, Matthew is the youngest of four children. He graduated from Bryant University where he earned a bachelors degree in business administration, majoring in marketing with a double minor in communication and psychology. Matthew was a four-year varsity participant on Bryant’s division I-AA football team, where he earned multiple All-Conference selections at wide receiver and kick returner.
After graduating, Matthew was invited to minicamps with the Houston Texans and New York Jets, in addition to tryouts with the New Orleans Saints, before signing a professional contract with the Orlando Apollos, a part of the Alliance of American Football League. There, he got to see first hand how unpredictable professional sports, and life in general, can be. This inspired Matthew to join the Sewall Financial Group, a company founded by a former professional athlete, with a proven history of putting their client’s interests first and foremost.
Matthew has a passion for building brands. In addition to having five years experience in the marketing field, Matthew also holds a real estate’s license in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. He understands the necessity of growing business through creating, implementing and monitoring marketing strategies that will represent a company’s core values and services.
Matthew enjoys traveling, working out and reading in his free time.
